About covenant acres

In 1984 when we brought our son Tom to the very first summer camp at Covenant Acres, I did not think that God would keep bringing us back to this place. Our children came here as campers, Betty and I came as Camp Pastors, we brought our youth group, we camped with our family, and we’ve had family reunions. In 2001, Covenant Acres became incorporated as Covenant Acres Ministries, Inc., a registered 501(c) 3, not-for-profit organization with the internal revenue service. As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on four areas for our financial support:

  1. Retreats and Summer Camp
  2. Individual Support
  3. Church Support
  4. Business and Corporate

In 2003, God brought Betty and I to Covenant Acres to be Shepard’s for His kingdom and to be a part of a wonderful camping ministry. Every year thousands of people come to Covenant Acres Camp & Retreat Center to reconnect with what God has created, to reflect on how He has blessed their lives and to renew and strengthen their walk with Him.

We invite you to join the Covenant Acres Family. Whether you plan a retreat for your church, men’s or ladies groups or plan a church picnic, or you want to enjoy hiking, camping, canoeing, fishing or just to take time to sit by the lake and reflect, you are always welcome.

Covenant Acres exists to be used by God to change the lives of people through a camping ministry for His purposes and His glory. It is only by God’s grace that He has chosen to use Covenant Acres to change lives. And, at Covenant Acres, we continually rely on God’s grace and strength to use us and this ministry to change more lives…all and only for His glory!
