FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much money should my camper bring for Bubba’s canteen and Cedar Gift shop?

Bubba’s Snack Shack is filled with lots of pop, water, candy, ice cream and healthy snacks, as well. We suggest $5-$10 is plenty. Every camper has an opportunity to visit Cedar Gift Shop in Cedar hall. Cedar Gift Shop has postcards, camp clothing, gift items and lots more. Some of the items can run from $2- $45. During registration and pick-up days we display all of the items available to your camper. This helps you to decide the right amount for your camper since snack shop and gift shop money is non-refundable.

What does our camper do during the week with his/her medicine?

During each week of Summer Camp a fulltime resident NYS Licensed Nurse is on duty and is regulated by the NY State Health Department. Our Nurse will have your camper’s meds locked up in the nurses station until needed. Our nurse is available and right on camp at all time while camp is being run.

What if we change who is picking up our camper(s) during their camp week?

We would need a signed permission slip faxed over, dropped off or mailed in stating this change and signed by the camper’s guardian.

Can you request cabin mates?

Yes you can but they have to be in the same grade levels for that Camp Program for the week. For example a grade school camper cannot bunk in a cabin with Junior or Senior High campers.

Can my camper bring a cell phone or call home?

We do not allow cell phones during camp along with other technical appliances. (see what to bring to camp). We only call home for emergencies so we do not abuse calling privileges. So if received a phone call you would know that it is urgent. We encourage writing letters and emails as we hand these out and mail them out daily.
